Superport Research and Strategy Study

Building on our experience base in Merseyside, Fisher Associates has been appointed by The Mersey Partnership to work on the exciting new Superport concept for Liverpool. For the first time in the UK, this will look at synergies from the joint ownership and management of a port complex, an airport, and distribution facilities in the Merseyside region. The idea is already making waves, and was discussed in the UK Parliament in March 2007. Chris Fisher commented, “It’s great to have an opportunity to be involved with this innovative idea, and we will be looking at models elsewhere to help assess how the Superport concept can add value to businesses and the economy”. Fisher Associates has previously completed similar “logistics cluster studies” in Abu Dhabi and Sri Lanka.
