Gozo Ferry Study and Port Strategic Plan, Malta

We are pleased to report that the Malta Maritime Authority has confirmed the appointment of Fisher Associates to undertake the twin studies:
• Feasibility study for development of ferry services between Gozo and Sicily
• Formulation of a Strategic Plan for Mgarr, Gozo
We will be applying our international experience gained from previous ferry studies to assess the feasibility of a new direct service linking Gozo and Sicily, including considering the market potential, the options for the service, and infrastructure requirements.
The Port Development Plan will build on this and also look at the other sectors of port traffic, with a view to identifying future infrastructure needs and preparing a Masterplan based on best practice.
Local partners Europa Research and Consultancy Services will be reviewing the economic and financial feasibility of the two projects.
