Following the recent research completed by Fisher Associates into the maritime services industry, The Lord Mayor of the City of London recently invited Chris Fisher to open a debate on the future of the cluster. Various follow up initiatives are now under consideration by the Lord Mayor. We await the outcome with interest.

Several speakers referred to Fisher Associates’ work on maritime services at a major international gathering on maritime clusters in October 2005. It was an interesting event, with the opportunity to compare and contrast different countries’ approaches to cluster development.
